Riverport Juniors Excel at Provincials!
The 2026 CTF Provincial Qualifying Tournament ran over two separate days at Langford Lanes in Victoria. The Bantam Boys, Bantam Girls and Junior Boys competed on Saturday February 28th and the Junior Girls, Intermediate Boys and Girls and the Senior Boys and Girls bowled on Sunday March 1st.
On Saturday, Zander Seng made a huge comeback in the last game to win gold medal for the Bantam Boys and Michael Alagar bowled and amazing 8 game total of 1630 to win the gold medal in the Junior Boys division! Both Zander and Michael will now represent B.C. at the C.T.F. Canadian Youth Championships in Calgary, May 14 – 17.
Also, in the Junior Boys Division, Ian Ascencio competed in his first Provincial Tournament and came away with the Silver Medal and Liam MacDonald captured the Bronze Medal. Congratulations to all of you!

On Sunday March 1st Thomas Chow put in a solid gold medal performance in the Intermediate Boys Division with scores of 206-230-214-211-235-234-225-201 for a fantastic 1756 series. Anabelle Chui also won gold in the Intermediate Girls Division with an 8 game total of 1592 (that’s a 199 average!). Thomas and Anabelle will now join Coach Rob and Coach Donald at the C.T.F. Canadian Youth Championships in Calgary. Also winning medals on Sunday were Rachel Wong, Silver in Junior Girls, Kiyomi Wong, Silver in Intermediate Girls and Graydon Dol, Silver in Senior Boys. Awesome bowling and congratulations to all of you!

Riverport Juniors Strike gold at Y.B.C. Provincials
Four of our athletes captured the gold medal in The YBC Provincial Singles tournament in Kelowna. Congratulations to Zander Seng, Liam MacDonald, Madison Adamos and Thomas Chow (all two-handers by the way), will be travelling to Winnipeg May 4-6 to represent British Columbia at the Y.B.C. Nationals. See the scores below. Our youth bowlers had some amazing scores!
